Unbelievable host who set up an epic local fishing tour and provided us with mouthwatering fresh arctic cod. The staff were so friendly and the restaurant was amazing. Our quirky cabin on stilts had an unbeatable location for exploring the breathtaking Lofoten isles. The bed was super cozy and the upgraded apartment with a mezzanine and huge windows made us feel like we were living in a northern lights dream. The 360-degree view from the balcony was mind-blowing. Ballstad is the perfect starting point for exploring Lofoten, and the caring hosts made us feel at home. The bathroom floor heating was a game-changer, and the overall aesthetic of the place was jaw-dropping. We could not have asked for a better place to stay with such a warm and welcoming staff.

Something was amiss, but it didn't affect our overall experience.

The apartment at Hemmingodden Lodge had stunning views of the harbor and mountains from the private balcony. It was absolutely breathtaking! The fully equipped kitchen was a game-changer for us, allowing us to cook our own meals and save money on eating out. We loved having a flat-screen TV in the apartment, perfect for relaxing and watching our favorite shows after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I found the shower in the private bathroom a bit small for my liking, but others may still find it perfectly adequate.

I had the most amazing stay at this beautiful lodge with a magnificent view! the hosts were incredibly kind and upgraded our room for free. the apartment exceeded our expectations with its spaciousness, brightness, and attention to detail. It was equipped with everything we needed, including a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. the location was perfect, tucked away in a quiet area near the water. the highlight was the glass wall in the dining room, which provided stunning views of seagulls, small ships, and mountain peaks. We even had the privilege of seeing the Aurora from the terrace. the lodge truly had a warm and cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax after hiking in the mountains. I highly recommend Hemmingodden Lodge for its authentic and historical charm!

Comfy cabin, great wifi, fishing boats, and stunning views. A cozy piece of fishing history with a side of activities like fishing and hiking. Safety features are on point.
I love climbing rickety ladders to bed. Not. Also, a leaking shower is such a wonderful surprise.

The view from the accommodation was absolutely breathtaking, especially when we managed to catch a glimpse of the northern lights. the location of the lodge was also ideal, with plenty of beautiful places to explore nearby. Plus, the owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
That we could occasionally hear footsteps from the unit above ours, which was a bit distracting at times. there was a small leak in the bathroom causing the floor to be slightly wet, and the hot water ran out quickly after a couple of showers.

There were a few minor issues during my stay, such as hearing footsteps from the unit above and a small bathroom leak. Additionally, the hot water ran out quickly, requiring some waiting time between showers.
